《Let’s make a fruit salad》教学设计
Students can read and recognize the words such as banana, grape, mango and understand the meaning of sentences “do you have...?” and the answer “Yes, I do.” “No, I don’t.”.
Through the activities and games, students ability of speaking and listening can be improved.
Students can cooperate with others when they work in groups and finish the tasks.
Students can know fruits are good for their health.
Teaching key point and difficult point:
Students can master the pronunciation and the meaning of the new words and can master the usage of the sentence.
Students can have a basic understanding about the usage of “some” and “any”.
Greet students and ask students to sing a song together named “PPAP”.
(Justification: this song is very funny and can create an interesting atmosphere in class. It also conclude the words such as apple, pineapple. Students will have a basic understanding of today’s topic.)
Do a survey among students about their favorite fruits and use the real fruits and free talk to teach the new words and new sentences.
(Justification: through this activity, students can learn the new knowledge directly and easily. It can also attract students’ attention and lay a foundation for the next part-listening.)
Listen to the tape for the first time and answer the question:
What are they talking about?
(Justification: by doing this, students can grasp the main idea of this listening material. It’s an individual work, so the autonomous learning method can be demonstrated too.)
Listen to the tape for the second time and finish the following task:
-Do you have _____, Yang Ling?
-No, _____. I have _____.
-Wang Bing, _____ have a banana?
(Justification: this task can help students to remember the new words and sentences much better. It can also improve students’ listening ability to grasp the detailed information.)
Play the tape again, and ask students read after it.
(Justification: students can have more chance to speak. Their pronunciation and intonation will also be developed .)
Group activity: divide students into four groups and use fruits to make their fruit salad. Then they should show it and introduce it.
(Justification: this activity can let them know how to cooperate with others when they work in groups and finish the tasks. Also, they can have more interest in English.)
Step 5 Summary and homework
Summary: Invite one student to be a little teacher to summarize what they have learned today, the others can have a supplement.
Homework: After class, they can make a fruit salad for their parents.
