Module 3 《Hobbies 》
Function:Talking about hobbies.
Recycling:Nouns
Language: I've got lots of stamps. These are some stamps from Canada.
This stamp is from China.
Vocaabulary:collect,stamp,hobby,men,women,another
Songs and Chants: 1.We all love our hobbies.
2.I am me and you are you.
Unit 1 Collecting stamps is my hobby. I. Warmer: 1.Revise singulars and plurals with Ss.
2.On one side of the board,draw a book.On another side draw 4books.Point to the board
and elicit the following from the Ss.
II. Listen , point and find "stamp/stamps". 1.Tell the ss to close their books.
2.Divide them ionto two groups.One is "this" and the other is "these".
3.Now tell them that you are going to play the recording of the dialogue and they have to
listen carefully.
4.If they hear either "this"or "these",the correct group has to stand up and shout "stop."
5.Play the recording again if the ss miss out on the target phrases the first time round.
III. Talk about these stamps. 1.Before the lesson,collect some stamps from various countries.
2.Photocopy and enlarge the image of the stamps.
3.Choose stamps with distinct pictures of objects on them.
4.Introduce the vocabulary to the ss first.
5.Repeat the activity with the other target objects.
6.Then extend the activity by eliciting the following from the ss.
7.Repeat the activity with the other objects.
补充材料:MY HOBBY 1、My hobby is playing the piano,because l like music very much.I think the piano can improve my music.I always play the piano with my sister or friend.If l want to play the piano.I must work hard.So l play the piano everyday.I hope my hobby--piano can improve my music.
2、My hobby is lisetening to music.
I like listening to music best.Because listening to music makes me relaxed.When I am tired,
I will listening some quiet music,that makes me fall asleep very quickly.My favorite music is the music that has good lyrics.Good lyrics can also make me learn Chinese or English well
I love listening to music.I will keep this hobby forever。
3、Different people have different hobbies.For example,someone likes reading,someone likes swimming and someone likes collecting and so on.
I used to read books and draw pictures because by reading books I could learn many funny things.But now I don't like it.I can only learn from books.I couldn't get knowledge from others.I need a change.Traveling is my favorite hobby now.But I can't go traveling a lot.I can visit many different places of interest by traveling.I can learn a lot about people,places and history.It's very interesting.What is your hobby?Let's share each other!
I have many good friends.They all have their hobbies.Ann studies very hard.So her hobby is book reading.Tony loves labour,and his hobby is gardening.He usually plants flowers and trees in his yard.Judy is a quiet girl.She likes knitting.She always knits some sweaters for her dolls.We have different hobbies,but we are good friends.
I love traveling.I have great fun in traveling.
4、Everyone has his own hobby.And my hobby is listening to music.I love Jay and Super Girl Li Yuchun best.Jay's talent and Li Yuchun 's beautiful voice impress me a lot.
After long-time study,I often listen to the music.listening to music can make me feel relaxed,and it also make me engergetic for next.
It's good for everybody to have his own hobby.Can you tell me what is your hobby?
5、My hobby is swimming.But i am not good at swimming.My mother is hobbies are hiking,shopping,cooking and fishing. She not good fishing.She good at cooking.My father is hobbies are hiking,swimmingand cooking.He not at cooking
Unit 2 I've got a hobby. I. Warmer 1.Tell the ss that you are going to mime some things that you like doing and they have to
tell you what it is.(swimming,reading)
2.Repeat this activity by inviting volunteers to come up to the front of the class and mime
some actions while the class guesses.
3.Then,introduce the target language in the following way.
4.Repeat this excercise with other activities.
II. Look,listen and point. 1.Get four large pieces of paper.
2.Tell the ss to close their books.
3.Draw the things on the paper:bike,books,dolls and kites.
4.Place the drawings on the wall around the class.Tell the ss that you are going to call out
the names of the objects and the ss have to point at them.
5.Tell the ss that you are going to play the tape and they have to listen .
6.If the ss hear any of the words on the walls in the dialogue,they have to poit at them.
III.Listen and repeat.Pay attention to the stress. 1.Play a "musical game"with the Ss.
2.Tell the ss to close their books.
3.Tell them that you are going to play the recording of a sentence.
4.You will then "sing"the sentence and the ss have to follow you.
5.Repeat this activity ,but do not "sing"it for them.Encourage the ss to "sing" the sentence
by placing the correct stress on the words.
IV. Listen and say ,then chant. 1.Get the ss to do different mimes for each of the activities.
2.You will need to go through each activity and the mime first.
V. Game:Ask and answer. 1.Before starting the game,go through all the pictures with the ss to make sure that they
know the vocabulary.
2.Tell the ss to number the pictures from left to right"1-15".
3.Now tell them that you are going to call out a number and they have to tell you the object.
4.Then,practise the target language with the ss using the following activities.
T:(points to the picture of "cat",then point to a s)Have you got a cat?
S:Yes,I have./No,I haven't.
